From My Bedroom to #1 on YouTube
When “I Hate YoungBoy” dropped, I was 16. I made the track alongside K10 and RellMadeThat, and I’ll never forget waking up to my phone completely spammed with notifications. Friends, producers, and even people I hadn’t heard from in years were all reaching out.
The song went #1 on YouTube the very same hour it dropped, instantly taking over the platform. By the end of that first day, it had already crossed 7.5 million views — numbers I could barely wrap my head around at that age. Seeing something I was part of move that fast was unreal.
What made it even crazier was the reaction. Everyone had something to say — fans, critics, blogs, even other artists. The record dropped the same day as Lil Durk’s “AHHH HA”, so the timing had the internet going wild. All over social media, people were debating it, reacting to it, and watching it nonstop.
Being part of a record that shook the whole scene at just 16 was surreal. That moment showed me how quickly things can change — from making loops in my room to landing placements on one of the biggest songs in the world. “I Hate YoungBoy” will always be the track that opened that door for me and proved what was possible.
