After NBA YoungBoy's release from prison, my phone lit up — Jason texted me saying “we’re active now, working on new things for YoungBoy.” Around the same time, 10 hit me up asking for a reggae Baton Rouge type of sound for YB, which sparked new ideas and helped shape the direction of what would soon follow.

Not long after, I found myself working on what became “Top Tingz.” I collaborated on the track with my homies K10 and Ayereek, each of us bringing our own flavor to the record. For my part, I made the loop using some bouncy guitar with a Bob Marley–inspired reggae feel, blending it with that Baton Rouge bounce to match YoungBoy’s style. That loop became the melodic backbone of the track.

The music video for “Top Tingz” carried the same energy as the track itself — bold, raw, and defiant, perfectly matching the mood of the record. The song went on to be part of YoungBoy’s album Make America Slime Again, marking one of the standout moments of the project.

This is my second song that released with YoungBoy, and it represents another step forward in my journey. From my earliest loop kits on YouTube to creating reggae-inspired guitar loops on major singles, the growth and evolution are clear.
